Chelsea Hijack Manchester United Move For Highly Rated Midfielder | See Details
Chelsea have moved ahead of Manchester United in race to sign AS Monaco midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports.
The French midfielder has been a subject of transfer battle between clubs in Europe, with Manchester United said to be the front-runners in the deal but reports in Tuttomercatoweb claim that the Blues have moved ahead of the Red Devils in the deal, sealing a five-year-deal with Antonio Conte’s side.
This comes after it emerged that Antonio Conte was unhappy with Chelsea’s transfer policy, due to the sale of Mikel Obi and Oscar during the January transfer window, without bringing in viable replacements but only recalled Nathan Ake on loan from Bournemouth.
The Italian boss is believed to be in search of a central midfielder to complement the efforts of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic who has both helped the Blues to a comfortable stand in the Premier League; Although, a possible arrival of the French midfielder could signal a departure of Cesc Fabregas from the Stamford Bridge
