Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola mulls over £30m bid for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen
Manchester City are keen to test Barcelona's determination to keep their goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen as the decision to let Joe Hart go out on loan continues to haunt Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola chased 24-year-old ter Stegen all last summer before accepting Claudio Bravo from the Nou Camp as a consolation prize because he was desperate not to use Hart.
But with Barcelona needing to strengthen this summer and Lionel Messi's contract up for renewal, City are prepared to go back in and offer £30million for ter Stegen, who is in Germany's squad to face England in a friendly later this month. They will then look to recoup £20million by selling Hart.City are still so sensitive about the England goalkeeper doing well in Serie A with Torino they were unhappy he did an interview with the BBC last week without seeking prior permission from them, even though he was gracious about Guardiola and made it clear he didn't feel his treatment was personal.
Privately, Guardiola realises the goalkeeping situation needs to be addressed next season. Bravo, 33, has lost his place to Willy Caballero although the Argentine conceded three goals in Monaco last week leaving the No 1 position up for grabs again against Liverpool on Sunday.
